MESSAGE FROM THE REGISTRAR (ADMINISTRATION & PLANNING)

Welcome to the Administration and Planning department.

The Administration and Planning Department is responsible for general administration and planning of the University. In the administration function, we belief that people are the only resource that appreciates in value and that can provide an establishment a competitive advantage. Hence, it has been our desire to attract and retain the right staff who are interested in working with us.

In order to attract and retain the right staff, we have put in place strategies of staff welfare, staff development and employee satisfaction. We further belief and have established cordial working relations with the unions representing staff. This harmonious engagement with unions has led to conclusion of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) and prompt handling of any employee work related grievances.

In the planning function, we believe that failure to plan is planning to fail. This has motivated development and implementation of University’s Strategic Plan, Master Plan and policies which all enable informed decisions. Further, in planning we are convinced that we play a critical role in creating and improving the face of the University. To that end we have and we will continue to work towards realizing our goal.

The Administration and Planning Department will continue to ensure that the University grows and achieves its Vision, of being the Preferred University of Excellence in Scholarship and Service Delivery.
